126 pages with a few black and white illustrations. This book was created by a school teacher for children in the second grade. The fables were selected because they held a "moral application" for students to learn. Adhered to the inside of the front cover is a piece of paper with "This Book is the property of the RICHMAND COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION, and is not to be taken from the School Building under any circumstances. LAWTON B. EVANS,Supt." on the bottom of the paper written in blue ink is "Language Lessons Room 20" The number "34" is written in blue ink in the top right corner of the inside of the front cover. 7.25" x 5.5" x 0.75" Brown hard covered. the front cover has a faded titles and publisher, though the title is obscured by a black stain. The stain has the title though it is very faded. The back cover is devoid of decoration.
