The Skokomish, Squaxin, Nisqually, Steilacoom, Puyallup, Cowlitz, and Chehalis tribes socialized, intermarried, and traded with each other. “While each tribal group had its own link to it's past, here in this land of rainy winters and warm summers, they formed a bond between them, as each exercised stewardship over the lands of the river basons they occupied.”Context
