Case for Compass

Description

Leather case designed to hold a pocket surveyor's compass (.1). It is embossed with an "H", presumably for Henry, with two leaves at the upper left and right and a tear drop below. It has a leather strap attached by rivets with a buckle for adjustment. The Gurley pocket compass came with a wooden case, so it is likely this was crafted elsewhere.
