Scope and Content

A paper Agreement and Assignment for Agreement of Deed between Joseph and Mary Lammon, George Libby, and George Bowker. The paper is somewhat yellowed, and some areas are crossed out or marked in a reddish/pink ink. It is folded in half. As it is folded, one side is blank; the other contains the titles, names, and records filing information. The 'inside' contains the agreement in detail between Libby and the Lammons, as well as a smaller paper glued to the left bottom edge containing the notary's signature stamped seal. This document includes an Agreement for Deed from Joseph M. Lammon and Mary Lammon to George N. Libby. The agreement was filed for record on Jan. 4th, 1889, and a subsequent Assignment of Agreement for Deed from George H. Libby to George W. Bowker, filed for record on Jan 21, 1889. The document outlines that George Libby agreed to purchase the property from the Lammons for a total of $350, with the first payment due on Dec. 15, 1889. On Jan 21, 1889, George Bowker took over the agreement, replacing Libby as the buyer.
