Description

Negative (2000-002-0012.1) and two copy prints of a bi-plane, Kinner Fleet aircraft at Olympia Airport, c. 1930s. The plane was purchased for Buroker-Hicks Flying Service from Lacey V. Murrow, Washington State Director of Highways. The previous owner was Leah Ling, the first Chinese-American woman to obtain her pilot's license. Buroker-Hicks used it to train Saint Martin's students. They later sold it to Ben Barry of Tacoma for cash combined and a Cubs and a T Craft aircraft. According to the donor, the aircraft is now a "museum antique" in California. One print has no inscription (2000-002-0012.3) and the other has writing on the back (2000-002-0012.2).
