The 60 Year history of KGY 1240 radio from its early beginnings as 7YS, to the KGY log cabin at St. Martin's campus to the current location on the Olympia Waterfront. This booklet by Shanna Steveson includes chapters on The Early Years, The Move to Olympia, The Olsen Years, The 1940s and 1950s, The 1960s and 1970s and The Next 60 Years. A preface on Father Sebastian Ruth, OSB was written by Dr. Mike Contris and an afterword, Historical Background and Cultural Impact of Radio Broadcasting was written by Father John C. Scott, OSB of St. Martin's.
The publication was supported in part by the Washington Commission for the Humanities, a state program of the National Endowment for the Humanities and KGY. Denise Keegan was the project director.
