Description

This version of the Monarch Standard Atlas was revised for the year 1906. It boasts descriptions of every known land ancient and modern. It has complete maps of the then present development of all the countries and empires of the world. There are detailed ethnographies that expound on people, religion, military, industry, art, and ecology. Green, hard cover. In the center of the front cover the title "The Monarch Standard Atlas and Illustrated World: Geographical Historical and Commercial" is impressed with gold letters. Woven around the title is some scrollwork also in gold. The front cover has an impressed border of three lines with impressed scrollwork in the corners. The spine has the title "Monarch Stadard Atlas of the World" above the author's name Martin Miller stamped in a bronze color. The Back cover has no decoration. There is some discoloration on the covers from scratches and general use.
