This ledger was designed to include tips and instructions for people using it to record their finances. This book was used by the Fleetwood family c. 1880s through the 1890s. The ledger is full of handwritten financial information including items bought and sold and indications of bills being paid. There are numerous receipts, checks, and other pieces of paper adhered to the book's pages.
On the page before the title page is written in very faded letters, "This Book belongs to Shedrick Fleetwood's Family." On the title page is written "Price 2.50" and "M. Choir Agent".
