Description

33 photos of events leading up to a Bob Hope performance at the St. Martin's Pavilion. While one of the photos show him performing in front of an audience they do show him rehearsing on the SMC Pavilion stage and meeting with and receiving a plaque and pin from St. Martin's officials. Other photos show some students coming into the Pavilion, some other St. Martin's staff and officials, a sheriff, band members and sound crew and some early arrivals for the show.

Context

Bob Hope was a premier performer in the late 60s and through the 70s. The SMC Pavilion was one of the few venues of sufficient size and capacity to host a performance by him. St. Martin's College itself was and is a key institution in Lacey.
