Description

Panoramic view of Olympia's manufacturing district along the downtown waterfront at the turn of the 20th century. Black and white negative created from a slide of Page 3 of "Olympia," a circa 1907 Olympia Chamber of Commerce promotional brochure or booklet. Negative is frame #31, second on a strip of four. Image includes a title below, "Birdseye View of Manufacturing District of Olympia" and a thin line frame aroud it. The title for the text below is in a rectangular frame and reads: See the World If You Will, But See Olympia First; There Are Reasons. Image is poor quality since it came from a book. The frame number "31" is printed at the bottom and printed between the holes at bottom right is "1" "8" "7". "002" is written directly on the bottom of the negative. Booklet belonged to Shanna Stevenson (in 1990). Marge Russell's name is written in ink on the front.
