Description

Olympic Range from Olympia. Black and white negative probably created from a slide of a photo in "Olympia," a circa 1907 Olympia Chamber of Commerce promotional brochure or booklet. Image is of a body of water, possibly Eld Inlet of Puget Sound. The Olympic Mountains can be seen in the distance. A piece of land juts out on the right. Negative is frame #26, first on a strip of five. Image has the title, "Olympic Range From Olympia." Image is poor quality since it came from a book and it is overly dark. From the viewer's point of view, the frame number "26" is printed at the bottom and printed at the top is "KODAK SAFETY FILM 5060". "035" is written directly on the negative at the bottom. Original booklet belonged to Shanna Stevenson (in 1990). Marge Russell's name is written in ink on the front.
