Description

Thorough-Bred Stock and Thurston County Grains and Grasses. Black and white negative probably created from a slide of a photo in "Olympia," a circa 1907 Olympia Chamber of Commerce promotional brochure or booklet. Image at the left includes the titles below the image, "Thorough-Bred Stock" with a thin lines are around it. Pictured are two head of cattle with a man who appears to be their handler. In the background is a crowd of people and what it likely a barn. Image at the right is titled "Thurston County Grains and Grasses" with a thin line around it and the beginning of text below. Pictured is a row of bundled up stalks of grains and grasses. Standing behind them is a man with his back to the photographer. Image is poor quality since it came from a book. Negative is frame #23, third on a strip of five. The frame number "23" and "B" "1" "8" are printed at the bottom and printed at the top is "KODAK SAFETY FIL[M 5060]". "042" is written directly at the bottom of the negative. Original booklet belonged to Shanna Stevenson (in 1990). Marge Russell's name is written in ink on the front.
