Description

Saint Martin's pep band in front of Old Main, Saint Martin's College, c. 1905. Black and white negative created from a photograph. Pictured is a view of the original Old Main at Saint Martin's College as viewed from the south (Pacific Avenue side). The image is very hard to make out due to extreme fading, especially on the lower half, but there is clearly a group of people and some drums. According to the catalogue card for this image, Father Sebastian Ruth was the director of the band and is pictured. Negative is frame #4, fourth on a strip of four. With the image oriented for the viewer, the frame number "4" is printed at the right (as well as "1" and "8" above that) and printed at the left is "[K]ODAK SAFETY FILM 5062". "053" is handwritten directly onto the right edge of the negative.
