Description

KGY Radio Station at Saint Martin's, 1914. Black and white negative created from a 5x7 glass plate negative. Pictured is a wood cabin that housed the original KGY station at Saint Martin's College campus. Electric wires can be seen entering the building from above. The entrance is at the right side of the building. On the building is painted: "WIRELESS". There is a bush on the front side and the right side of the building. At the lower left of the image appears to be written: "1914" (slightly cut off). Negative is frame #17A, first on a strip of five. With the image oriented for the viewer, the frame number "17A" is printed at the left (as well as "18" below that) and printed at the right is "[KODAK] SAFETY FILM 5062". "054" is handwritten directly onto the left edge of the negative.
