Long Wave Receiving Outfit, St. Martin's Radio Station, Lacey, Wash. Black and white negative created from a print. Pictured is the interior of the KGY station when it was still at Saint Martin's. Front and center is the wooden cased receiver. On the wall surrounding are dials and equipment panels, but also pennants. Pennants include one for the Nave, one for Saint Martin's and one for the "Pearl of Puget Sound." There is also a calendar and the picture of a suited man. The caption, handwritten on the original image, is: "Long Wave Receiving Outfit, St. Martin's Radio Station, Lacey -- Wash."
According to the original catalog card, the receiver was given to Father Sebastian from a German ship captain.
Negative is frame #16, second on a strip of three. With the image oriented for the viewer, the frame number "16" is printed at the right and above that "16A" and printed at left is "[KO]DAK SAFETY FILM 5062". "060" is handwritten directly onto the bottom edge (viewer's right) of the negative.Made/Created
