N068-1Description
Saint Martin's College Band. Black and white negative. Image features 20 boys or men, each holding an instrument. Instruments pictured include trumpets, cymbals, drums, baritones, trumpets, trombones, and tubas. Two men are holding up the flags, the United States flag at left and another flag, possibly Saint Martin's flag at right. The man in the center appears to be a monk (judging by the robe) and is likely the instructor. The boys are all wearing dark suits. There is a large drum in front of the instructor that reads "St. Martin's College Band" with an SMC monogram in the center. They are standing in front of a wooden frame building with steps coming down. The front row of boys are kneeling, the second row is sitting and the rest are standing. This is probably the pep band, judging by the instruments.
Negative is frame #32, fifth on a strip of five. With the image oriented for the viewer, the frame number "32" is printed at the bottom and at left "31A" and printed at the top is "KODAK SAFETY FILM 5[062]". "066" is handwritten directly onto the bottom edge of the negative.Made/Created
