Description

Pictorial of National Radio Week 25th Anniversary, November 4-10, 1947. Black and white negative, probably from a print features a display of photographs, advertisements, banners, flags and a mannequin. There is a light colored display board on which items are mounted including signs like "KGY Station 1922 Established by Father Sebatian in a log cabin at St. Martin's College," "Smile Time..." "Sam Crawford, KGY Commentator..." "Frank Hemingway, Mutual News..." or "The Hamilton Quartette." There are 3 American flags mounted at the upper left of the board. A KGY banner is hanging from what appears to be a microphone stand. A long cord hangs from the board. The mannequin is at the right and is wearing a coat, hat and pants. A bare tree is behind the mannequin. The banner at lower right announces "National Radio Week, November 4 - 10, Radio's 25th Anniversary." Negative is frame #19A, fifth on a strip of six. With the image oriented for the viewer, the frame number "19A" is printed st the right, and "20" above. "072" is handwritten directly onto the left edge of the negative. On another part of the strip is printed: "Kodak Safety Film" and "Kodak Panatomic X Film."
