Description

Long Lake swim area clean up, 1974. Black and white negative strip of 6 images originally created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show at least four different people pulling debris from the water, hammering boards and cleaning up the lake. According to the negative sleeve, these images were taken on June 19, 1974. Frame 5 shows a man in a hard hat hammering a board and two people in the water in the background. Frame 4 shows the same man hammering while a boy without a shirt approaches in the water. Frame 3 is of a woman wearing a t-shirt with an armful of sticks in the water. Frame 2 is a boy handing a log up to the man in the hard hat. The boy has jeans on, but no shirt. Frame 1 is 3 people, two women and a boy pulling debris from the water. Frame 44 is the same three people, but one woman is dunked up to her chin and the other two are pulling debris from the water. Printed on the top edge of the negative is "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM" and "KODAK SAFETY FILM". Frames are numbered 44 and 1 through 5.
