Henry Frank Smith, probably in the early 1900s. He appears to be quite elderly. He wears dress pants, a light colored long-sleeved shirt, and a dark colored vest with a handkerchief in the pocket. In his left hand he holds a dark-colored hat and a cane in his right. He stands on a grassy area in front of a sidewalk. An electric pole is behind him on the left and a tree on the right. A fenced property and two buildings are in the background. The shadow of a second person, probably the photographer, can be seen in the foreground. Negative is frame number 11A, fourth on a strip of six. The frame number "11A" is printed at the right. "080" is handwritten directly onto the left edge of the negative. Printed at left is: "Kodak Safety Film". On another part of the strip is printed: "Kodak Panatomic X Film". Negative is made from an original 2 x 4 print. Henry Smith came out to Hawks' Prairie area in th 1870s. He is Julia S. Shaw's father.
