Description

Old hanging tree at Fort Eaton, in about the late 1970s. This landscape scene shows a solid tree with a thick branch that angles off the left. The main branch that goes up and slightly right is dead and broken off. Other trees are nearby. Fort Eaton was a civilian outpost built to ward off Indian attacks during the Indian Wars of 1855-1856. Negative is frame number C C K F, fifth on a strip of five. The frame number "C C K F" is printed at the left center, and "5" at the bottom left. "087" is handwritten directly onto the right edge of the negative and obscures the printing: 'Kodak Panatomic X Film." On another part of the strip is printed: "Kodak Safety Film."
