N100-2Description
Old Main and School, c. early 1900s, featuring Old Main and the nun's residence. Black and white negative taken from an original print on mounted card. Image features two buildings that sit atop a small hill covered in bushes or small trees. There appears to be a path leading down the hill among them. Old Main is centered in the photo facing to the left with the nun's residence to the right facing the camera. The view is facing approximately northwest. A tower or antenna (metal structure) is at the far right. On the lower field is a wooden structure, perhaps some sort of sports backdrop. In the lower left corner of the image is the photographer's name, "Lewis." Creases can be seen on the cardboard mount from the original print. There appears to be a curved liquid stain on the right side of the original image.
Negative is one on a strip of two images, frame number 4. Printed at the bottom is frame number "4" and to the left "3A." "100" is handwritten directly onto the bottom edge of the negative. At the top is printed: "Kodak S[afety Fil]m 5060".Made/Created

01-27-2016 Although this is the same image as N100-1 and they were given the same negative number, I suspect that they were taken from two different original prints. eqv
