Description

Old Main at Saint Martin's, late 1890s. Black and white negative taken from an original 8 x 10 print on mounted card. Image features a long dirt road with wagon ruts in it and lined with a wooden fence and bushes on either side. Old Main sits atop a hill lined with bushes or small trees. Other smaller buildings can be seen, one at the far left, one to the right but close to the building and another at the far right at the bottom of the hill. The cardboard mount from the original print is visible around the print especially at left and right. Negative is one on a strip of two images, frame number 5. Printed at the bottom is frame number "5" and to the left "4A." "101" is handwritten directly onto the bottom edge of the negative. At the top is printed: "[Kodak] Safety Film 5060".
