Description

Good Day's Sport. Black and white negative probably created from a slide of a photo in "Olympia," a circa 1907 Olympia Chamber of Commerce promotional brochure or booklet. Pictured is four dead deer, at least three of which are bucks, hanging from a wooden frame. Two hunting dogs are in front of them; at left, a labrador retriever is lying on the ground and at right, a terrier is standing. In the background is a large stand of tall evergreen trees. Image is surrounded by a thin black line. Underneath is the title "Good Day's Sport." Text can be seen just to the left of this image. Negative is frame #14, fourth on a strip of five. The frame number "14" is printed at the left center as well as "13A" at the top left. Printed at the right is "KODAK SAFETY FILM 5060". "108" is handwritten directly onto the bottom of the negative. Original booklet belonged to Shanna Stevenson (in 1990). Marge Russell's name is written in ink on the front. The negative card suggests that this picture is of the Hartman Hunting Party, but it is unclear where that information came from.
