Description

Chamberlain boat, Lorelei, in front of their house at 1720 Cedar Street. Color scanned image taken from a slide. The photograph, taken by Robert Chamberlain, was taken from the front yard facing west. A bit of the front of the house is visible and the garage is open. The yard and most of the boat is in the house's shadow. A car is in the driveway in front of the boat. There are many tall trees to the west of the house and across Ruddel Road which can be seen in the background along with the stop sign where Cedar Street (now Gemini) meets Ruddell Road. The boat is on a trailer, is named "Lorelei" and has the numbers "WN 9274 F" on it. A small quince tree can be seen behind the boat's bow. The tree still stands in 2016. David Chamberlain's father, Robert Chamberlain, and his Uncle Bud Chamberlain build this boat several years before the Chamberlain family moved into the house in 1965. In this photo, Robert Chamberlain is in the process of refurbishing it.
