2016-002-0006Description
Richard Weideman with his grandson, David Chamberlain, standing next to the Chamberlain House in 1961. Color image scanned from a slide. The photograph, taken by Robert Chamberlain, was taken from the front porch near the door. Only the northeast corner of the house is visible, showing two sets of three-paned windows, a brick extension supporting the white column and a fuschia plant hanging from the deep eave. David, five, is wearing a light color printed short sleeve shirt. His grandfather, wearing gray slacks, a brown belt and a light blue long-sleeved button down shirt appears to be looking at the hanging plant. Trees and a little bit of a house across on Alder Street are visible behind them.
According to the donor, his grandfather was visiting from their home in Indiana where his mother grew up. They visited several times at this house throughout the years.Made/Created
