David, Becky and Richard Chamberlain, Easter 1966Entry/Object ID
2016-002-0009Description
David, Becky and Richard Chamberlain at the Chamberlain House, probably on Easter in 1966. Color image scanned from a slide. The photograph, taken by their dad, Bob Chamberlain, was taken from the front of 1740 Cedar (now Gemini) facing east. The cedar tree is visible at the left edge of the photo and has grown considerably since earlier photos. Becky, age 8, is standing with her arms behind her back facing her brother, Richard, age 6. She is wearing a sleeveless printed floral dress with white shoes. David, 10, stands next to her wearing black slacks and a blue cardigan sweater. Richard is riding the red bicycle seen in 2016-002-0003, which now has a white basket. Richard is wearing gray pants and a light-colored short sleeved shirt. There is a red house with brick trim visible through the trees across the street on Sycamore. There is a brown or red car in the driveway. Another brown house can be seen in the distance at the far right where Alder Street abuts Sycamore Street.
According to the donor, the tree in this photo has recovered in this photograph compared to earlier ones, where the tree was appearing damaged. His grandfather, Richard Weideman, saved the tree by trowling cement into the cleft.Made/Created
