Description

Thurston County Fair, 1976. Black and white negative strips of ten images (two strips of five) originally created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. Frames 1 and 2 show Dick Pust falling in to a dunk tank full of water. Frames 42 and 43 are different views of a ferris wheel. Frame 44 shows two adults standing at a booth with four children and a man behind a counter with stuffed animals. Frames 37 and 38 show several people in a row with dogs for what appears to be some sort of dog show. Frame 39 is a view of the ferris wheel with rides in front of it. Frame 40 shows a man standing at a table with what appears to be balloons and cotton candy. Frame 41 shows people in one of the seats of the ferris wheel. According to Pust, Ken Balsley bought all the balls he could get and managed to dunk him over and over again.
