Description

Richard Chamberlain, age 7, on the running board of his dad's truck in the summer of 1967. Color image scanned from a slide. The photograph, taken by his dad Bob Chamberlain, was taken from the porch of 1740 Cedar (now Gemini) facing northwest. The main feature of the photograph is of a dark blue or black late 50s or early 60s International Truck A series which is parked in the driveway and has a load in the back. Richard, dressed in dark pants and a brown sweater is standing on the running board leaning on the truck with his left hand on his hip. Across Cedar Street, part of a house can be seen, along with the garden where tall corn is growing. Power lines from Ruddell Road are visible on the left edge of the photo. Mr. Ray lived in the house across the street and donor David Chamberlain recalls him being generous, sharing the bounty of vegetables from his garden with their family. David played with his son Ricky Ray.
