Description

Shoot the Deschutes Fundraiser, 1975. Black and white strips of 21 images (two strips of three images, and three strips of five images) originally created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These photos are of the Shoot the Deschutes fund raiser in 1975. The strip containing frames 10-12 show large groups of people in inner tubes near the shore of the Deschutes river. In the strip containing frames 13-15: Frame 13 shows what appears to be smaller children sitting on the shore in inner tubes. Frames 14 and 15 show several people in the water and a few people along the shore watching. The strip containing frames 16-20: Frame 16 shows a man standing on shore with a megaphone and a large group of people on the shore next to him. Frames 17-20 show various groups of people in inner tubes floating on the water. The strip containing frames 21-25: Frame 21 shows four people walking with their inner tubes. Frame 22 shows a band playing. Frames 23 and 24 show people floating in the water in inner tubes. Frame 25 shows people floating in the water under a bridge. The strip containing frames 26-30: Frame 26 shows a bridge with a banner that says "FINISH" over it. Frames 27-30 show people getting up from their inner tubes under the bridge and walking to shore.
