2007-012.G108PDescription
Ruddell Road Sewer Construction, 1973. Black and white strips of 16 frames (one strip of six images, and two strips of five images) originally created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images are of the sewer construction on Ruddell Rd in 1973.
In the strip containing frames 1 and 41-44: Frames 1 and 44 show large pipes laying on the side of the road. There are trees lining the road on either side. Frames 42 and 43 show a dirt road that is blocked by caution signs that have reflectors on the top of them. Behind the caution signs you can see a large ditch dug in the ground on the side of the road. Frame 41 shows the ditch mentioned in frames 42 and 43 but this photo was taken from inside the ditch. You are able to see the dirt around the ditch as well as the caution signs above on the road. The strip containing frames 2-6: Frame 2 shows caution signs across a road as well as a detour sign pointing to the right. Behind the signs you can see large pipes on the road and a car parked to the side of the road. Frame 3 shows large pipes stacked on top of each other. Frame 4 shows the large pipes laying on the side of the road. Frame 5 shows dirt covering the road way with a large ditch dug on the side of the road. Frame 6 shows the large hole on the side of the road with a large pipe in it, partially covered by dirt. The strip containing frames 35-40: Frames 35 and 36 show dirt covering the road way. It appears that one of the ditches on the side of the road was covered. Frame 37-40 show the large pipes in the ditch that was dug on the side of the road. Frame 40 is an angle that allows you to see the pipe straight ahead with the road above it.Made/Created
