Fun, Sun, Water, 1977. Black and white negative strip of 21 images (one strip of six, and three strips of five) originally created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images were created using two separate film rolls, so two of these images have the same physical number. For the purposes of this descroiption, these strips will be grouped according to the film roll from which they originally came. Each group will be assigned a lower-case letter to go along with the physical numbers on the strips (ex: 1a, 2a, 3a, 1b, 2b, 3b, etc.) to help differentiate between images.
The images in group "a" show adults and children playing in and around Long Lake Park. Images 1a-3a show groups of kids playing on a dock on the water. Some children are sitting with their feet in the water, and others are standing on the dock looking out over the water. Frames 4a and 5a show children gathered around watching two boys jump into the water. Frame number 6a shows an older girl standing in the water with three little children around her. Frame 7a appears to be an older boy helping a toddler swim. Frames 8a and 9a show older kids standing on a dock next to a lifeguard stand with a lifeguard sitting on top. Frame 10a shows someone floating in an inner tube and about five individuals sitting on a dock. Frame 11a shows individuals standing on a dock and one individual climbing out of the water and on to the dock. Frame 12a shows individuals standing in the water. Closest to the camera is a girl in a two piece swim suit. Frames 13a-15a show about ten kids of varying ages standing in a group playing together on grass. Behind them is a building and small trees.
Frames 40b-44b and 1b show several small boats and kayaks out on the water. There is a large group of trees in the background behind them.Made/Created
