Governor Ray, Johnny Lewis and Karen Fraser, 1979. Black and white strips of 10 images (two strips of five frames) originally created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. In the images, Musician Johnny Lewis is seated next to Governor Dixy Ray and Karen Fraser. Johnny Lewis has light hair and is wearing a gray suit, a white shirt and a colorful tie. Governor Ray has gray hair and is wearing a dark suit and a white shirt collar is visible over the collar of the jacket. Karen Fraser has short brown hair, is wearing glasses, and is wearing a light colored blazer and a white shirt with the color overlapping the blazer collar. In front of them is a table with a white table cloth on it. There are multiple drinking glasses and books on the table in front of them. In the first strip, containing frames 11-15, frames 11 and 12 show Johnny Lewis leaning over and talking to Governor Ray. Frame 13 shows Johnny Lewis, Governor Ray and Karen Fraser. Lewis is smiling, and Ray and Fraser are talking. There is a woman next to Karen Fraser who has dark hair and a light colored top on. Frame 14 shows Lewis and Fraser on either side of Ray, both looking at her. Frame 15 all three are looking forward, possibly at a camera. On the second strip, Frame 16 shows Ray looking at the camera and smiling. Lewis is also looking forward and smiling, and Fraser is looking at Ray and smiling. Frame 17 shows both Lewis and Fraser looking at Ray. Frame 18 is from much further away, and Lewis is looking at Ray. To Lewis's right there is what appears to be a vase of flowers, and two men both wearing suits. Frames 19 and 20 show what appears to be Governor Ray standing at a podium giving a speech. Lewis is looking at her. To the left of the podium, the two men from frame 18 are visible again. The one closest to the podium is wearing a light suit and light shirt and has brown hair.
