Russell Family Portrait, c. 1906. Black and white oval shaped original print mounted on a black textured card with a raised "frame" embossed around the image with "beaded" detailing. Pictured left to right are Fred, Ronald and Minnie Russell. Fred and Minnie are Ronald's parents and he appears about 18 months old. Fred is wearing a dark suit, white high collar shirt, a dark vest with polka dots and and slender bow tie. Ronald is wearing a ruffled white shirt or dress, typical of children of the time period. Minnie is wearing a white lacy bodice with a high collar and a long necklace. Her hair is in an updo with a black bow in back. The background is plain gray with some kind of framed item hanging on the back wall at left. Stamped at the lower right corner is "Jeffers Olympia - Wash." A fingerprint sized stain is at right of image. The lower left corner of the black top layer is ripped off revealing the beige paperboard underneath.
