According to the negative sleeve, these images were taken on July 10, 1974. These images show a birthday party thrown for Ed Bagley by the staff of the Lacey Leader newspaper. Image 22 depicts a table set for a formal dinner, and a placard or poster hung on the wall reads "Happy Birthday, Ed!" Image 23 depicts a woman with glasses seated at a table smoking a cigarette. Image 24 depicts a man in glasses and a newsboy-style cap (Ed Bagley) speaking. Image 25 depicts a woman with a formal up-do haircut and wearing a formal dress in profile speaking. Image 31 depicts a young man in profile in the foreground and an older man in the background, also in profile, drinking from a glass. Image 32 shows five people seated along the one side of the table, and the man in the newsboy hat at the head. Image 33 shows seven people seated along one side of the table, with the man closest to the camera looking toward it. Image 34 depicts an older woman with a corsage seated at the table next to a younger man. The two are speaking to eachother. Image 35 shows a man in a suit and a woman in a floral-print dress seated next to eachother at the table. Both are looking toward the right. Image 36 shows the man in the newsboy hat, now without the hat, seated and pointing to a birthday cake with the candles lit. Image 37 depicts the same man blowing out the candles on the cake. The image is blurry. Image 38 shows the same man in the same position immediately after blowing out the candles. Image 39 shows the same man standing and cutting the cake. Image 40 also shows the man cutting the cake. Image 43 depicts the same man still cutting the cake, but the shot is taken from a more elevated angle. Ed Bagley was the owner of the Lacey Leader newspaper from 1973 to 1981, and the editor from 1979-1981. Along one edge of all the strips is printed, in alternation, "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."
