Unidentified people, unknown dates. These fifteen film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. As many as fourteen separate film rolls were used in the creation of these images, so some of the physical numbers on the strips are repeated. For the purposes of this description, the strips will be grouped according to which film roll they originally came from. Each group will be assigned a lower-case letter to go along with the images' numbers (ex: 1a, 2a, 3a, 1b, 2b, 3b, etc.) to help differentiate between the images.
The images in group "a" show eleven men and one woman standing in a rough circle in the rain in a small parking lot outside of a building housing a beauty parlor, a barber shop and a shoe repair shop.
The images in group "b" show a large group of people seated in rows in a room with plaid curtains and six men standing outside of a building.
The images in group "c" show a blurry view of a map and a young woman pretending to slap a young man. A second young woman holding a book is watching. All three are wearing late 19th-century clothing.
The images in group "d" show a man in glasses and a tie and a map.
The images in group "e" show a seated man with a chinstrap beard wearing a leisure suit.
The strips remaining to be described hold only one image each.
The man in image group "a" with a tobacco pipe in his mouth is Bob Williams, Lacey's first city manager. The images in group "b" show a Lacey City council meeting. Ken Balsley believed that image groups "a" and "b" may show meetings concerning the initiation of bus service to Lacey.Made/Created
