Description

Santa Claus and helpers, unknown year. Three strips of black and white negatives originally created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. One strip holds five images (images 6-10), one holds three images (images 11-13), and the final strip holds five images (images 40-44). These images show one older man dressed as Santa Claus and one older woman dressed as Mrs. Claus with two young girls in dresses sitting on their laps. These individuals are seated in front of a large fireplace with a chain curtain across its front. Santa Claus is seated on the left-hand side, while Mrs. Claus is on the right. In image 6, the girl on the left is spearking to Mrs. Claus. In image 7, the girl on the left is speaking. In image 8, the girl on the right is bending the fingers of her right hand back with her left hand. In image 9, the girl on the left is speaking. In image 10, the girl on the left is turning toward the camera and smiling. In image 11, the girl on the left is speaking. In image 12, the girl on the left is speaking. In image 13, Mrs. Claus is facing the girl on her lap and touching the girl's chin. In image 40, all four of the subjects are facing the camera and the girl on the left is smiling. In image 41, all four subjects are facing the camera and Mrs. Claus and the two girls are smiling. In image 42, the girl on the left is hugging Santa Claus. In image 43, the girl on the left is facing Santa Claus and the girl on the right is reaching out to touch his beard. In image 44, the girl on the left is facing Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus is smiling. Printed along one edge of the negative is "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM" and "KODAK SAFETY FILM" in alternating order.
