Description

Ken Balsley, 1975. This black and white contact print strip bearing four images was created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. The frame numbers not physically printed on the strip, but for the purposes of this description the numbering which is present on the corresponding film negative strip will be used (image 25-28, numbered from left to right). Ken Balsley, 1975. The strip shows Ken Balsley and Pat Parrish. Image 25 shows a close-up of a man with a goatee and glasses (Ken Balsley). Image 26 is very similar to image 25, but the perspective of the camera has dropped slightly, taking the top of his head out of the frame. Image 27 shows a picture taken from below Mr. Balsley's face, his chin and neck being the main objects visible. The image is blurry. Image 28 shows a man with glasses (Pat Parrish) looking at the camera and smiling. Ken Balsley was an editor, reporter and photographer for the Lacey Leader newspaper. Pat Parrish was a reporter for the Lacey Leader for a short time and went on to become a legislative staffer.
