South Bay School, unknown date. These three black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. One of the strips bears five images (images 20-24), one of the strips bears four images (images 25-28), and one of the strips bears three images (images 29-31). All three of these film negative strips show a number of children participating in a bike course at a playground with at least three adult male supervisors on a rainy day.
The images show a "Bike Rodeo," a youth event put on by the Lacey Police Department which consisted of a bicycle obstacle course and bicycle inspections performed by officers. Ken Balsley noted that the officers would license bicycles which passed their inspections.Made/Created
