Description

Winter, 1972. This black and white contact print strip bearing four images (images 13-16) was created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a woman clearing her car's windshield of snow, a man attempting to jumpstart a car or truck, and many cut Christmas trees. Image 13 shows a woman with short hair and glasses scraping snow and/or ice from her car's windshield. There is a Sears store in the background with a "Season's Greetings" sign hung from it's exterior. Image 14 shows a very similar image to image 13, but here the woman is reaching further across the windshielf. Image 15 shows a man in a stocking cap standing between two motor vehicles. These vehicles' batteries are connectec by a set of jumper cables. A second man stands behind the first, and is largely obscured by the man in front. Image 16 shows a large number of cut Christmas trees behind a fence.
