Budweiser Horse Team, unknown date. These two black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. One strip holds five images (images 2-6) and one strip holds three images (images 11-13). These images show two men working with a control box for traffic lights at the corner of Sleater Kinney Road and 6th Avenue in Lacey, Washington; a dalmatian in a boom lift; and several clydesdale horses hitched to a Budweiser beer wagon. Image 2 shows two men, one in a shirt with a "Lacey" patch on his left shoulder standing near an open control box for traffic lights. The man in the shirt with the Lacey patch is reaching into the box while the other man is looking toward the camera. Image 3 shows the same two men, but now both are looking toward the camera. Image 4 shows the same two men standing on the street corner near the traffic light control box. The photo was taken from further away from the men from the previous two, and in this image large portions of the street as well as several cars are visible. The man in the shirt with the Lacey patch is looking away from the camera while the other man is looking toward the camera. Image 5 shows a scene very similar to image 4, but both men are looking away from the camera. Image 6 shows a dalmatian in a boom lift. There are six boxes with "Budweiser" printed on the side to the left of the dalmatian. Image 11 shows a clydesdale horse in a harness at center, and at least three similar horses partially visible behind the horse at center. The horse at center's head is inclined toward the right-hand side of the photo. Image 12 shows an image very similar to 11, but the horse's head is now more centered in the image. Image 13 shows a man in a mustache and tie holding reins and sitting in an elevated seat on a wagon hitched to the horses. The rear of one of the clydesdales is visible in the image.Made/Created
