Description

Panorama City Breakfast w/Santa, 1975. These three contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. One strip bears two images (images 17-18), one strip bears five images (images 19-23), and one strip bears one image (image 24). These images all show two young children sitting on the lap of a man dressed as Santa Claus. The larger of the two children is seated on the left side of the photo, the smaller child is seated toward the right. They are sitting in front of a fireplace with a metal mesh curtain across the front. Image 17 shows the smaller child looking toward the camera and the larger child looking toward Santa's face. Image 18 shows both children looking at Santa. Santa is looking at the smaller child. Image 19 shows both children looking at Santa, and Santa is looking at the larger child. Image 20 shows Santa looking at the larger child while the larger child looks back at Santa and smiles. The smaller child is looking toward the camera and smiling. Image 21 shows Santa looking roughly toward the camera, the larger child looking off in the distance, and the smaller child looking toward Santa and smiling. Image 22 shows both children looking at Santa while Santa looks at the smaller child. Image 23 shows both children looking at Santa while Santa looks at the larger child. This picture is taken from a lower perspective than the previous images. Image 24 is very similar to image 23, but the smaller child is smiling. The Breakfast with Santa event was an annual fundraiser put on to support St. Peter's Hospital in Olympia, Washington.
