MAD Fest, 1973. These three film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. Two strips bear four images each (images 36-39 and 43,44,1, and 2) and one strip bears three images (images 40-42). These images show a celebration, including performances, in Saint Martin's College's Marcus Pavilion.
"MAD" stands for Music, Art and Dance. Ken Balsley noted that that the annual Lacey music festival was not called the MAD Festival until 1975 or 1976, and at the time these images were captured it was referred to as the Lacey Music Festival.Made/Created
