Description

Toastmistress, unknown date. This black and white film negative strip bearing two images (images 26 and 27) was created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. Both of these images show three women standing at a counter in a room with many plaques on the walls. These images were captured inside the office of the Lacey Leader. The woman in the center is writing on a piece of paper and the other two women are watching. The Toastmistresses are a group organized around training members in public speaking and giving them a venue to practice their skills. The Toastmasters are the male counterpart to this organization.
