MAD Festival, unknown dates. These sixteen black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. Because at least six rolls of film were used in the creation of these images, many of the physical numbers on the strips are repeated several times over. For the purposes of this description, this series of images will be broken down into sub-groups, and these sub-groups will be designated with a lower-case letter attached to the physical numeral appearing on the strip (ex: 13a, 13b, 13c, etc.).
The film strip group designated as "a" consists of one strip bearing four images (13a-16a). The majority of these images appear to have been captured at what is now Saint Martin's University's Marcus Pavilion. These images show a cake, a group baton-twirling performance, and a visual art show.
The film strip group designated as "b" consists of two film negative strips bearing six total images. These images show a jazz band performing on a stage, and a belly dancer.
The film strip designated as "c" consists of six film strips bearing 25 total images. These images show a variety of performances by individuals and groups.
The film strip designated at "d" consists of one film negative strip bearing three images. These images show a woman playing piano.
The film strips designated as "e" consists of four strips bearing twelve total images.
The film negative strip designated as "f" bears two images.
The film negative strip designated as "g" bears three images.Made/Created
