Description

Mascot Expo, 1981. This black and white film negative strip bearing four images (images 41-44) was created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a mascot competition. Carl Cook was from the KGY radio station. Wes Barclift was the Mayor of Tumwater. Steve Boone was the owner of Boone Ford. Karen Fraser was the first female mayor of Lacey and served on the Lacey City Council. She also served in the Washington State House of Representatives for four years, and, as of October 2016, was serving her sixth term in the Washington State Senate. Pat Gallagher worked locally in public relations.
