Description

Unidentified boys, unknown date. These four film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. All four of the strips bear six images each (images 42-3, 4-9, 10-15, and 16-21). The images show seven different young men in individual photos, and four of the young men in group photos. Image 42 shows a boy in a plaid, button-up, short-sleeved shirt. His hair is parted on the left side and combed toward the right. Image 43 is very similar to image 42, but the negative is lighter. Image 44 is also similar, but the negative is lighter than the previous two, Image 1 shows a young man wearing a sweater over a t-shirt. The sweater has an emblem on the left breast which reads "Chinook Warriors Varsity." Images 2 is very similar to image 1, but the negative is slightly darker. Image 3 is similar to the previous two, but is darker than either. Image 4 shows a young man wearing a Chinook Warriors Varsity sweater over a collared button-up shirt. Images 5-9 are all nearly identical, aside from variations in lightness. Image 10 shows a young man in a patterned button-up shirt with a very wide collar. Image 11 shows a young man in a t-shirt and a belt with many eyelets in it. Image 12 is very similar to image 11, but the negative is slightly darker. Image 13 is similar to the previous two images, but the negative is lighter than either of them. Image 14 shows a young man wearing a Chinook Warriors Varsity sweater over a t-shirt. His hair is longer than the young man in images 1-3. Image 15 is nearly identical to 14, but the negative is darker. Image 16 is again similar, but the negative is darker than either of the previous two. Image 17 shows a young man in a plaid, button-up, short sleeved shirt. His hair curls down over his forehead. Image 18 is almost identical to image 17, but the negative is lighter. Image 19 is almost identical to the previous two, but is lighter than either of them. Image 20 shows four of the boys from the previous images posing together for a photo. Image 21 is almost identical to image 20, but the negative is darker. Printed in alternation along one edge of these film negative strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."
