Description

Clearwood, unknown date. These two film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. One of the strips bears five and a half images (images 23-27) and one of the strips bears four and a half images (images 29-32). Image 28 is cut roughly in half, with one part connected to each of the two strips. These images show a summer camp or resort on a lake. Image 23 shows a lake with a small sailboat tied up to a dock. A person is on the dock near the sailboat, and there are thre small boats pulled up on the shore. Image 24 shows a similar scene to that of image 23, but there are two people on the dock instead of one. Image 25 shows three children on a merry-go-round. Image 26 shows the same three children on the merry-go-round, but the child on the right has one foot on the ground. Image 27 shows several people seated in chairs on the deck of a large home or lodge. This home or lodge is in the midst of a wooded area. Image 28 (which is split in two) shows a very similar scene to that of image 27. Image 29 shows a home or lodge with an attached deck on its right-hand side in a wooded area. No doors or windows are visible on the structure. Image 30 appears to show two people in the near foreground looking away from the camera in a wooded area, but it is hard to tell because the negative is so light. Image 31 shows a young man in a striped shirt standing on a lawn near a gravel walkway. In the background is an open-air structure with many columns. Image 32 shows a closer view of this structure at thr right side of the image, and another similar structure at left. Printed along one edge of each of these film negative strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."
