Timberline vs. NT Football, 1977. These seven black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. This series of images was created using at least two different film rolls, so some of the images' physical numbers are duplicated. For the purposes of this description, these film negative strips will be grouped according to which film roll they originally came from (or appear to have come from), and each group will be assigned a lower case letter to go along with their physical number (ex: 17a, 17b, etc.) to help in differentiation between images. The images in group "a" show a high school football game between the Timberline Blazers and the North Thurston Rams. Image 24a shows the the Timberline team running a running play. One of the referees is just to the left of the center of the image, crouching slightly and facing away from the camera. Image 25a shows a play ending in a tackle. The two jersey numbers visible at the far left are 44 for the Rams and 81 for the Blazers. Image 26a shows a player for the Blazers running downfield, toward the left of the image frame, with players from both teams and a referee running behind him. Image 27a shows a player for the Blazers either in or approaching the end zone. and several players trail him. A referee facing away from the camera is visible toward the left of the image. Image 28a shows player 36 for the Rams carrying the ball to the left in a running play. Number 77 is lead blocking for him. Image 29a shows the Rams running an offensive play. One of the Rams players is at the center of the image face down of the ground with his legs up over his head. Image 30a shows the Timberline team running an offensive play, and number 14 for the Blazers can be seen appearing to make a handoff. Image 31a shows number 14 for the Blazers running the ball. Image 32a shows most of the players for both teams jumbled up together on the field. The players nearest to center with visible jersey numbers are 77 and 89 from North Thurston. Image 33a again shows most of the players from each team jumbled together. A referee crouches at the left side of the image in profile. Image 34a shows player 14 for the Blazers about to make a handoff as players 90, 42, and what appears to be 28 approach number 14 from the left. Image 35a shows number 90 for the Blazers running the ball. Image 36a shows the quarterback for the Rams about to make a handoff. Image 38a shows a player for the Rams running to his left and preparing to make a pass. Image 39a shows the Rams about to run a play. Number 89 for the Rams is the closest player to the camera.
