Screwtape ? play rehearsal, unknown date. These two black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show two young men acting out a scene in a play. One of the men is in a bed. This may be a stage production of C.S. Lewis's book "The Screwtape Letters." Image 37 shows the man in the bed pretending to sleep while the second man crawls out from under the bed. Image 38 shows a similar scene to that of image 37, but the photographer has moved several feet to their left. Image 39 shows the man in the bed still pretending to sleep and the second man sitting on the bed. Image 40 shows a similar scene to that of image 39, but the photographer has moved several feet to his left. Image 41 shows the man in the bed awake and propping himself up on one elbow while looking at the second man. The second man is looking down at a small book in his hands. Image 42 shows the man in the bed sitting up further. Both men are looking at eachother. Image 43 shows a similar scene to that of image 42, but the photographer has moved closer to his subject or zoomed in. Image 44 shows the man in bed sitting up and the second man again looking at the small book in his hands. Image 1 shows a similar scene to that of image 44, but the photographer has moved several feet to his left. Image 2 shows a similar scene to image 1, but the second man is looking at the first. Image 3 shows the man in bed speaking to the second man while the second man looks at the book. There is a blackboard visible in the background.
