SMC vs. Western Basketball, unknown date. These two film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show the Saint Martin's Saints playing the Western Washington University Vikings in the Saint Martin's College (now University) Marcus Pavilion. Image 20 shows a player for the Saints going up for a jump shot while number 50 for the Vikings attempts to defend. Number 22 for the Vikings is at the left side of the frame. Image 21 shows one player for each team jumping in the air. Number 50 for Western is at the left of the frame. Image 22 shows number 15 for the Saints jumping with two Western players standing very near to him. Number 15 for the Saints is holding the ball and it is obscuring his face. Image 23 shows number 15 for the Saints taking a jump shot with his legs played apart. Image 24 shows a player for Western with the ball while three Saints attempt to defend. Two of these Saints' numbers are 44 and 40. Image 25 shows number 40 for the Saints having just released a jump shot. Numbers 34 and 15 for the Saints are nearby. Image 26 shows number 44 for Western jumping into the air next to a Saints player. Number 22 for Western is at the left of the frame. Image 27 shows two players jumping up toward the hoop. Number 40 for Western and number 15 for Saint Martin's are the visible jersey numbers in this image. Image 28 shows number 43 for the Saints jumping up with his hands near the hoop. Number 24 for Western is at the left side of the frame. Image 29 shows number 43 for the Saints jumping with his back turned toward the camera. Image 30 shows number 20 for the Saints about to take a jump shot. Number 34 for the Saints is at the left side of the frame. Printed at intervals along one edge of these film negative strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM 5063."
